Planning & Development

The Planning and Development department is responsible for all aspects of land-use planning, including long-range planning and subdivisions to ensure that growth and development occur in an organized and rational manner, while maintaining or enhancing the quality of life.

The Planning and Development Department is here to understand the values of the community and reflect those values into our plans, policies and bylaws for the immediate and future development of the Town.

To learn more about how a Public Hearing works,  find out how you can participate in events such as these, or more information regarding a specific bylaw or application being presented to council, please visit the Public Hearings page.
