The 2024 Annual Report is now available, providing residents, businesses, and stakeholders with a transparent overview of the Town’s progress and priorities during its second year as an amalgamated municipality.
This year’s report outlines how Council and administration responded to rising costs, shifting community needs, and ongoing infrastructure demands—while continuing to implement the Strategic Plan and plan for long-term growth.
Key highlights include:
- Initiation of Diamond Valley’s first Municipal Development Plan (MDP), a long-term strategy to guide sustainable growth and land use planning
- Completion of major infrastructure improvements, including road repairs, facility signage, and recreation upgrades
- Implementation of cost-saving measures such as a service level review and a new vehicle leasing model
- Launch of e-Services, offering convenient online access for tax and utility accounts
- A conservative and responsible financial position, including positive year-end results and continued compliance with Alberta’s municipal debt limits
Mayor Barry Crane noted, “2024 was a pivotal year. Council remained focused on finding efficiencies and investing in long-term priorities while navigating rising costs. This report shows the real progress being made.”
Chief Administrative Officer Adam Davey added, “Our team has worked hard to deliver reasonable, responsive services while managing transitions and supporting growth. We are proud of what’s been achieved and remain committed to continuous improvement.”
