Proclamations are formal statements made by the Mayor on behalf of the municipality, typically in support of a notable reoccurring event or to raise awareness of a charitable cause.  The statement is read aloud at a Council meeting and agreed to by the members of Council, and advertised  / promoted on municipal channels
