Spring has arrived - and with it comes the Town’s annual street sweeping initiative. Crews will be sweeping residential streets throughout Diamond Valley from Monday to Friday, May 5–9, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, weather permitting.
Street sweeping signs will be placed in advance in neighbourhoods to alert residents that work is coming soon to their area. Sweepers will not return to streets they have already cleaned, so resident cooperation is key.
Here’s how residents can help ensure a successful sweep:
• Move vehicles off the street once signage appears. Please use driveways, garages, or alleyways to allow sweepers full access to the curbline.
• Place waste bins properly on collection day. Set bins on the grass boulevard or your lawn adjacent to the street – not on sidewalks or the road.
• Remove obstacles such as driveway ramps and portable basketball nets from the edge of the road.
This annual maintenance helps keep storm drains clear, improves air and water quality, and keeps our community looking its best.
