
Helping Seniors Stay Connected
Diamond Valley Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is coordinating a Subsidized Transportation Assistance Program to help seniors aged 55+ access affordable transportation for medical appointments, shopping, and social outings. This initiative, part of a regional pilot project funded by a provincial grant, is designed to address the needs of lower-income seniors.
The Program
This program provides up to two subsidized trips per month at reduced rates. As the pilot project progresses, adjustments may be made to better serve the community.
Eligibility
The program is available to seniors aged 55+ who meet these income criteria:
- Single individuals: Total household income of $33,410 or less
- Couples (common-law or married): Total household income of $54,720 or less

The Service
Rides are available to Calgary and High River, subject to driver availability.
Booking: Call or text 403-861-2081 with at least 48 hours’ notice.
Rates:
- $40 round trip to South Calgary (South of Anderson Road)
- $40 round trip to High River
- $55 round trip to North Calgary (North of Anderson Road)
Cancellation Policy: Provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel by calling or texting 403-861-2081.
Payment: Pay the driver directly on the day of your ride. Show your program card to confirm eligibility. This is a cashless system, please pay the driver by debit or credit card directly.
