Committee vacancies will be posted on the Employment Opportunities and Committee Vacancies page as they become available. Please fill out a Committee/Board Application Form and submit it to the contact person associated with the advertised position.

Economic Development Committee
EDC is a volunteer based advisory committee that encourages and facilitates business development and tourism in the Town of Diamond Valley. EDC consists of members of Council, members at large and business owners. If you are interested in volunteering for a Special Event, please reach out to our Special Events Coordinator at info@diamondvalley.town

Family & Community Support Services
FCSS is a Town department that funds and offers local preventative social service programs, with the goal being to build a strong, cohesive and supportive community. FCSS works to ensure that necessary programs and services are available to children and families, seniors and vulnerable individuals as well as the community as a whole. FCSS meets monthly to discuss needs in the community and make program/funding decisions.

Foothills Cemetery Board
Responsible for the operation and future planning of the Foothills Cemetery located just west of Black Diamond.

Intermunicipal SDAB
The Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (ISDAB) hears appeals from people who have been affected by development authority or subdivision authority decisions.

Joint Friendship Agreement Committee (JFAC)
Formerly known as the Friendship Agreement Meeting (FAM).

Municipal Planning Commission
This commission meets to determine if new development applications meet the requirements of the Town of Diamond Valley's Land Use Bylaw.

Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee
The objective of PPRAC is to advise Council about the provision of parks and recreational facilities to serve the needs of residents and visitors; to ensure the development of a comprehensive recreation network including trails, recreation facilities, open space and parks, heritage resources and natural areas; to develop a trail system along water bodies, escarpments, and through the open space network and to meet community needs through the development of a Recreation and Culture Master Plan.

Sheep River Library Board
Sets policies for the operation of the Library, planning for the future of our Library.

Sustainability Advisory Committee
Makes plans for the sustainable future of the Town of Diamond Valley and forwards this information to Council to assist in sustainable planning and decision-making.
