The Parks & Recreation Departments of Diamond Valley are committed to enhancing the quality of life for our community through the maintenance and improvement of our parks, recreational facilities, and public spaces.

Parks and Green Spaces

  • Operations and Maintenance: We ensure all parks and green spaces are safe, clean, and beautifully maintained. This includes regular landscaping, tree maintenance, and ensuring that public spaces are welcoming for all.
  • Playground Equipment Maintenance: We take care of all town-owned playgrounds, ensuring that equipment is safe and in good condition for our youngest residents to enjoy.
  • Sports Field Maintenance: Our team maintains baseball diamonds and soccer fields, keeping them in top condition for sports and community events.
  • Outdoor Recreational Equipment: We manage the upkeep of outdoor fitness equipment, skateparks, and pump tracks, providing diverse recreational opportunities for fitness enthusiasts of all ages.

Trails and Pathways

  • Maintenance and Development: We continually work on improving and expanding our network of trails and pathways to enhance accessibility and enjoyment for walkers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Recreation Facilities

  • Oilfields Regional Arena: This indoor arena is a hub for sports, leisure, and community events, with regular maintenance ensuring a high-quality facility.
  • Scott Seaman Sports Rink: Our outdoor refrigerated rink is available for bookings, providing a reliable and enjoyable skating experience in the colder months.
  • Community Outdoor Rinks: Maintained by our department, these natural ice rinks in the Black Diamond and Turner Valley communities offer a traditional winter skating experience.
  • Flare n Derrick Community Hall: We manage the upkeep and maintenance of this vital community gathering space, ensuring it remains a premier venue for events and activities.
  • Dr. Lander Memorial Pool and Spray Park: Our team ensures that these aquatic facilities are well-maintained, safe, and ready for family-friendly recreation throughout the swimming season.
  • Diamond Valley Municipal Campground: The Recreation and Parks departments manage the maintenance and upkeep of the campground located in the Turner Valley community.
