Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming Pool

The outdoor pool is a cherished feature of our community and operates during the summer months, typically from June to Labour Day weekend (weather dependent).

DLM Registered Swim Lessons

To register for swim lessons, you must obtain an account  for your child / family at ActiveOkotoks.ca.  Please build your family membership with plenty of time for the Okotoks team to review your information before registration day.

Find out more about each swim level from the Lifesaving Society.  

Select an appropriate age category to find all applicable courses currently being offered. If you know the course ID enter it into "Search by Course ID/Keyword" for quick access to the program you are looking for.

Each registrant will be provided a unique Swimgen ID number to input into our online report card system. Please contact the Aquatic Programs Team if you've lost your ID number.

DLM Private Pool Rentals

Rent the pool for one hour for up to 30 swimmers.  Additional charges apply for parties over 30 people.

During Pool rental periods, the Pool standards for child supervision apply:

• Children must be a minimum of 8 years old to use the Pool without a caregiver.
• Caregivers must be at least 14 years of age to accompany children in the Pool.
• Caregivers must stay within arm's reach of children at all times.

Local resident private booking  $138.00 per hour
Non-local resident private booking  $148.50 per hour
($34.50 per hour extra lifeguard fee will apply for 30+ swimmers)

Swimming Pool Fee Assistance Program

Financial support is available to eligible residents of the Town of Diamond Valley and surrounding areas in Foothills County to help offset the cost of swim lessons, admissions, and programs at the Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming Pool.

About our Partnership with the Town of Okotoks to Manage the Pool            

The Town of Diamond Valley has contracted the Town of Okotoks to deliver staffing and programming for the Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming Pool. The agreement does not include the management and maintenance of the facility, which remains under the purview of the Town of Diamond Valley.  

Key operational objectives include:

1. Establishing consistency in staffing and service levels
2. Improving customer experience and service standards
3. Maintaining or possibly expanding facility access and use
4. Implementing online program registration and bookable activities
5. Providing Diamond Valley and Foothills County residents with priority booking and employment opportunities.
