Sheep River Shuttle

Welcome to the Sheep River Shuttle!

Our community transportation service connects Diamond Valley residents of all ages and abilities to local shopping, servicesRita Bus-01 and social outings. The Shuttle also offers regional connections to destinations in the Town of Okotoks.

About the Service

The Sheep River Shuttle is operated through an innovative community partnership between the Town of Diamond Valley and the Boys and Girls Club of the Foothills. The Town, passenger fares, charter service fees and community donations contribute to operating funding for the Shuttle. The Boys and Girls Club administers and operates the service.

Booking a Trip

Please book trips 24 hours in advance if possible

When you call to book a trip, you’ll be asked:

  • The address or name of your starting point and where you’re going.
  • The day and time you’d like to travel.

The first time you call, you will also be asked for basic information to register with the system, such as your name, address/pick-up location and contact information. We’ll also ask if there’s other information we should be aware of to help us serve you better, such as if you are travelling with a mobility aid, attendant, service animal, oxygen tank or child restraint. This information will be kept strictly confidential.

Schedule

The Sheep River Shuttle currently runs two (2) days per week within the municipal boundaries of the Town of Diamond Valley, with regional connections to/from destinations with the Town of Okotoks.

The shuttle service operates by appointment (organized into time intervals) and without a pre-scheduled route.

  • When you book your trip, the driver will estimate your pick-up and drop-off time. Please be ready (i.e. with your coat and shoes on) up to 10 minutes before your pick-up time.

Fares

The Sheep River Shuttle is a cashless system: pay for your trip when boarding the bus by debit. Cash or credit not accepted.
