Legislative Services

The Legislative Services team is the main point of contact for Mayor, Council and Committee information.

Legislative Services is responsible for the following services:

• Council Meetings: 

  • find Agendas and Minutes on the Diamond Valley Meeting Portal, 
  • Question Period form (submission/registration information on page 2) 
  • Delegations form (participation information and requirements on page 2)

• Bylaws and Policies: 

  • Bylaws and Policies that affect the daily lives of most residents are posted on the website
  • If you are looking for a document that has not been posted, please email the Legislative Services Manager with your request.

• General Elections and byelections

  • 2025 Municipal Elections  
  • The next general municipal election is October, 2029.

• Access to Information or Protection of Privacy concerns

  • Access to Information Requests (Request form)
  • To learn more about Access to Information in general

• Appeals: Tribunal Boards 

  • Clerk of the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board and the Assessment Review Board

• Other

  • Petitions to Council
  • Commissioner for Oath services,  appointment recommended.  Please review the linked information to be sure the Commissioner for Oaths can assist you.  Some forms will not be commissioned.  *NEW for 2026* fees may apply for these services.  Please review the Fees and Rates Bylaw to understand what fees may apply to your appointment.
  • Requests for Letters of Support may be submitted and considered in accordance with Council-030 Letters of Support Policy.  Both an online fillable Request for Letter of Support form and a printable PDF form are available to suit everyone's needs.
